Kingston WA began as booming lumber town back in the early 1850's and provided an active port for area trade.

Referred to as the "Little City by the Sea," Kingston WA is the northern gateway to the Kitsap Peninsula and provides the route that many travelers take to access the Olympic National Park & Forest.

Founded in 1853 by Benjamin Bannister, the community was originally named Apple Tree Cove.

Since then, Kingston WA has developed into a thriving residential and commercial center on the north end of the Kitsap Peninsula, Kingston WA offers its own community center and boasts a fun, eclectic shopping district conveniently located at the foot of the ferry terminal.

The Port of Kingston Marina offers a 1st-class facility which has 40 guest slips and shower & laundry facilities. The marina is within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and ferry terminal.

Just a short drive away is the White Horse Golf Club, selected as one of the best new courses by Golf Digest Magazine.

The community hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including the very popular Farmer's Market, held on Saturdays from mid-April to mid-October at the Port of Kingston Marina Park, next to the ferry dock.
